The Georgia Access health insurance marketplace Open Enrollment Period (OEP) closed on Jan 15, 2025. We are now in the Special Enrollment Period (SEP) so you will need a qualifying life event (QLE) to purchase an individual / family health plan. A qualifying life event is a significant change in your life that makes you eligible for health insurance for you or your family outside of open enrollment. OEP will begin again on November 1, 2025 for plan effective dates of Jan 1, 2026.

- Losing coverage due to a change in employment status
- Losing coverage due to a change in family status

NON-TRADITIONAL health plans are lower cost and available anytime but do have pre-existing condition limitations and ask health questions.
